Better smartphone access is here!

Mobile Web are online services optimized for the smartphone. It does not require downloading or installing any application and is designed specifically for use in smartphones with web browsers. Mobile Web gives you the access and convenience of accessing online services on your smartphone. With Mobile Web you can:

  • View account balances and account history
  • Pay bills (now or post-dated)
  • Transfer funds (now or post-dated)
  • Access Contact Us, Security and Legal Information
  • Save your account numbers for quick future reference

Through Mobile Web your financial information can be accessed anywhere, anytime on your smartphone. Paying bills and transferring funds has never been easier. Financial activities, such as managing your budget can be performed with just a few easy steps. In order to use Mobile Web, access to online services is required. Cypress Credit Union Online Services Alerts are here!!

Guard against account fraud! Cypress Credit Union Alerts will let you know when important changes have been made to your information in online services. These alerts add additional protection to allow you to identify and report potential fraudulent activity as soon as it happens.

You will be notified when:

  • A new bill payee is added to your list of vendors.
  • Your Personal Access Code (PAC) is changed via online services.
  • If you are locked out of online services via Increased Authentication after 3 attempts to log in.
  • Login Alert
  • INTERAC e-Transfer New Recipient Added Alerts

These alerts can be sent as a text message to your mobile device, as an email to your email address or both.

Managing Your Alerts Service

In addition to receiving your Direct Alerts via email or text, you can review the last 30 days of Alerts History in online services – just click on the Alerts history link on the Alerts page. You can also manage your alerts by editing the contact information, account nicknames or by choosing different alerts to be received. You can access all of these functions from the Manage Alerts tab.

How do I sign up?

  1. Log into Cypress Credit Union online services.
  2. Navigate to the Messages and Alerts tab and click on Get Started Today to display the Mobile

    Alertspage. ChooseAddContacts.

  3. You will be asked to accept the Alerts Agreement before you can complete your registration.

  4. From here, add an email contact, phone contact (or both!) and follow the instructions received

    in the confirmation email or text.

  5. Next, select account nicknames and choose which alerts you’d like to receive.

  6. Ensure the check box beside the contact (email address and/or mobile phone) to receive the alert has been checked by choosing Manage Alerts and selecting the alerts you wish to receive. Click Submit

  7. You’re all set!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are Alerts and why should I sign up?

Cypress Credit Union Direct Alerts make it easy to keep track of any changes that occur with online services – for example, if you sign up to receive an alert if your PAC is changed, you will receive a text or email if the online services system detects that change. If you receive an alert but did not perform a change in online services, this may be a sign of fraudulent activity. Contact your credit union immediately and we can address your concerns and take appropriate action

What are the fees for using Cypress Credit Union Alerts?

There is no charge to members for receiving alerts from Cypress Credit Union. However, your Mobile Service Provider may charge you for receiving text messages or for data usage. Members are advised to check with their provider for details.

Are Alerts safe?

Personal information is not transmitted in a Direct Alerts text message or email. Accounts are identified by nickname only – no account numbers, balances or identifying details are visible. Also remember – Cypress Credit Union will never ask you to provide personal information over email or text.

Which Mobile Service Carriers support Alerts?

Currently, this feature is supported by Telus, Rogers, Fido, Bell, MTS, Virgin, Sasktel, Koodoo, Solo and PC Mobile.

What happens if I change my mobile device number?

Sign into online services and edit your Alerts Contact information to include your new mobile number.NOTE: If a user adds a new contact to an active alert at a later date they must EDIT the alert and check the appropriate contact box. If this box is not checked the new contact will not receive an email or text alert.

I want to add or change my email address?

Sign into online services and edit your Alerts Contact information to include or change the email address.

NOTE: Each time a contact is added or modified you must EDIT all of the active alerts and check the appropriate contact box. If this box is not checked the new contact will not receive an email or text alert.

What happens if I lose my mobile device?

Contact your service provider to suspend your service. Then, sign in to Cypress Credit Union online services to deactivate the alerts being sent to your device.

Open New Account

Open New Account allows existing credit union members with online services access the ability to open accounts entirely online! 

You can quickly and easily create a new deposit account through online services however, please review the following important information and contact your credit union if you have any questions.

  • Terms and Conditions – the terms and conditions of the new account are the same terms and conditions that have been provided to you when opening an account through your credit union.  If you would like a copy of the Agreement please contact the credit union.

    Signature Card – the credit union will use the existing Personal Account Opening and Specimen Signature Agreement, Financial Services Agreement or Membership Application and Agreement currently on file.

    Single Account – when you open a new account through online services, the account is in your name only.  You will be the sole owner of the account, and no other person will have access to the account even if other accounts you have with the credit union are jointly held with another person(s).  If you wish to make this account joint with another person(s), please contact or visit your credit union.

  • Rights of Survivorship – since you are the sole owner on the account you are opening, there is no rights of survivorship designated on this account.  Please contact or visit your credit union to discuss rights of survivorship options for this account.

    Beneficiary on Registered Accounts – if you have a named beneficiary on your existing registered accounts (register retirement savings RSP, registered income fund RIF, tax free savings account TFSA), the named beneficiary will apply to the subsequent registered account you are opening.  Please contact your branch if you have any questions regarding your named beneficiary on your registered account.
